6/17/14 - 6-foot-2, 165-pound prospect with projectable frame, arm action is long and loose through a ¾ to high ¾ arm slot, pounds the strike zone consistently, fastball sat 83-84 mph touching 85, two-seam fastball shows some arm-side run and sink, showed a 74 mph breaking ball with short/late break, 72 mph changeup is thrown with good arm action with solid fade, has shown a slight increase in velocity and would expect more to come from the projectable right-hander.  As a position player, hits from a balanced setup with a short stride, good lower half torque in swing, hands are quick, swing path creates some lift, consistently barreled the baseball up in batting practice, has potential to hit for power, registered 81 mph tee exit velocity and ran 4.58 down the first base line.  Defensively, shows solid actions and lateral movement, 77 mph arm across the infield with accurate throws, went 0-for-4 in game play lining out hard in one at bat.
2/16/14 - 6-foot-2, 160-pound prospect with long and lanky frame and a lot of room to fill in, uses long arm action through a ¾ to high ¾ arm slot, fastball showed good arm-side run at 81-83 mph touching 84, 67-70 mph curveball showed sharp 11/5 action, commanded curveball well (have seen it harder in the past at 74-75 mph), changeup sat 70-74 mph that shows good fade when he stays behind it.  McLarty was in the middle of basketball season at this event, would not be surprised to see additional velocity from him in the spring, big upside for this potential high-level prospect.
2/16/14 - 6-foot-2, 160-pound prospect with lanky and projectable frame, shows solid corner actions, good lateral movement, loose arm across the infield at 76 mph but was 81 mph during the summer. At the plate, the left-handed hitter hits from a balances setup with a short stride, displays good balance, good use of lower half torque, quick hands consistently gets the barrel through the zone, uphill path to the ball, good round of batting practice consistently squaring the baseball, ran 7.19 60 (7.09 at previous event), 79 mph tee exit velocity, definite follow in 2016 class.
8/25/13 - 6-foot-2, 160-pound prospect with lanky and projectable frame, solid corner actions, good body control, arm strength at 81 mph across the infield.  At the plate, the left-handed hitter hits from a balanced setup, uses lower half well, shows quick hands and generates bat speed through the zone, went 0-for-4 in game play, ran 7.09 60.  On the mound, has the potential to be a high-level pitching prospect, uses long arm action through a ¾ to high ¾ arm a lot, fastball sat 82-84 mph, good arm-side run on 2-seamer, breaking ball sat 74-75 mph with late bite, very projectable arm.

8-8-2018: Durable pitching build at 6’3, 190 pounds. Average athlete with feel for his mechanics and repeatable actions. Proven strike thrower with a consistent three-pitch mix. Loose arm swing on takeaway. High release. FB sat mostly 88-90 mph. Average SL ranged between 75-78 and CH sat 81-82. Hitters made a lot of contact off of him this summer. Needs to develop a reliable way to miss bats. Frame looks like it could support additional weight so there could be more velocity underway. (D Jurik)
