6/15/16 - 60 Time: N/A, Position Velocity:  N/A, Exit Velocity: N/A
6-foot-1, 175-pound LHH was unable to participate in the position player workout due to attending the East Coast Pro workout. In game play, he continues to show his progression as one of the top left-handed bats in the 2017 class taking consistently good at bats. He flew out to deep RF on a ball that appeared to be heading for a home run but got cut down by the wind. He also flew out in two other AB’s that included a SAC fly and RBI.

6/16/15 - 6-foot, 160-pound left-handed hitter continues to make strides in overall game, hits from a balanced stance, short stride, line drive type hitter uses all fields, occasional gap power, short path with extension through contact, 84 mph exit velocity, 4.51 down the line, went 1-for-4 in game play making solid contact. Showed an increase in arm strength at 84 mph with good carry, very accurate throws, plays through the ball well athletic actions, made two impressive diving catches in game play.  On the mound, lefty uses long arm action, high-3/4 slot, regular effort delivery and lands square to the plate, fastball sat 78-79 mph touching 80, can spin the curveball with good feel at 65-68 mph and 1/7 action at the bottom of the zone, ability to throw 70-73 mph changeup for strikes with good arm action, continues to make strides on the mound, allowed one hit and walked one in his one inning of work in game play.

2/14/15 - 6-foot, 160-pound prospect has grown two inches and added five pounds to frame since last summer, left-handed hitter hits from a balanced stance with a short stride, maintains good balance through finish, line drive type hitter who is beginning to develop occasional gap power, solid approach with the ability to use all fields, ran a 7.50 60-yard dash, 82 mph exit velocity was the best he has recorded. Defensively, plays through the ball with athletic actions, attacks the ball aggressively, long arm action with high-3/4 to over the top release, continues to show an increase in arm strength, 82 mph with some carry. 6-foot, As a pitcher, continues to add to frame and show an increase in velocity, uses long arm action through a high-3/4 slot, arm works well with clean action, regular effort in delivery, fastball sat 77-79 mph and is mostly straight, shows good feel and command of 67-69 mph curveball with 1/7 action, 72-74 mph changeup is thrown with good arm speed and shows some cutting action, would like to see him stay behind the changeup more to develop sink and fade on the pitch, showed good command of all pitches consistently throwing them for strikes.

10/4/14 - 5-foot-11, 155-pound prospect, left-handed hitter hits from a balanced stance with a short stride, maintains good balance, generates bat speed with some hand quickness, stays inside the ball well on the inner half, line drive type hitter, shows ability to make solid contact to all fields, posted a 4.96 home to first time, 80 mph exit velocity off the tee, went 1-for-4 in game play with a single to left field.  Defensively, showed a two-handed approach to the ball on the ground, good set up on fly balls, 78 mph arm strength, throws stay online through over-the-top arm slot.  On the mound, uses long arm action through a high-3/4 arm slot, good rhythm and tempo in delivery, filled up the strike zone in his outing, fastball sat 74-76 mph touching 78 on one occasion, fastball shows occasional arm-side run, 67 mph curveball shows 1/7 action, retired the side in order in his inning of work recording a ground ball out and two fly ball outs.

7/23/14 - 5-foot-10, 155-pound prospect with lanky build, uses long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, repeats delivery well with good tempo, easy effort, fastball sat 73-75 mph touching 76, showed good command of a 60-63 mph curveball that varied between 12/6 and 1/7 action,struck out two in two innings of work, pounds the strike zone, good athleticism on the mound.  As a position player continues to improve at each event.  He showed a significant improvement in his 60-yard time running a 7.33 while also showing the best OF velocity we have seen from him at 80 mph.  Lovely hits from a balanced stance with minimal stride, hands show quickness, line drive type hitter, went 2-for-4 in game play with a single to center and double to the right-field wall.  Defensively, shows athletic actions and plays through the baseball well, solid young prospect.

2/16/14 - 5-foot-10, 140-pound prospect with lanky build, continues to add strength to frame, plays through the baseball well with athletic actions, clean exchange with long arm action, loose arm through high ¾ arm slot, showed the most arm strength we have seen from him to date at 79 mph with some carry.  At the plate, hits from a balanced setup with minimal stride, fluid swing with quick hands, line drive type hitter uses all fields well, good use of lower half, showed improved 81 mph tee exit velocity, improved 7.64 60 yard dash.  Lovely is developing into a solid outfield prospect, definite player to follow in the 2017 class.

1/19/14 - 5-foot-10, 130-pound prospect with lanky build, has added 15 pounds to his frame since summer and will continue to fill out, shows solid outfield actions with soft hands, clean exchange and with a top velocity of 74 mph (77 at previous event).  At the plate, hits from a balanced setup with a short stride, showed a shorter, more compact swing than previous event, displays the ability to make hard contact the other way, line drive type hitter, should continue to mature into solid left-handed hitter, ran 4.95 down the first base line.  On the mound, uses long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, arm shows some loosness, good command of all 3 pitches, fastball sat 74-76 mph with some arm-side run, curveball shows 1/7 action at 63-66 mph, throws changeup with good arm action at 65-66 mph that shows good arm-side run and fade, will continue to add velocity as he continues physical maturity, has put on 15 pounds since first event in July.

7/9/13 - 5-foot-10, 115-pound, left-handed hitting prospect, shows athletic outfield actions, plays through the ball, throws registered 77 mph, accurate arm.  At the plate, hits from a slightly closed setup, short stride, gets some lower half involved in swing, shows the ability to make hard contact the other way with a gap to gap approach, ran 7.81 60 yard dash, 72 mph tee exit velocity, young prospect will continue to develop with added strength and physical maturity, potential to be solid left-handed bat.
