6/11/19

Body type:  6-foot, 225-pound physical and athletic frame.

Swing mechanics:  Simple-smooth compact swing with minimal movement.

Hit:  Good feel in the box with a level bat path.  True ball flight to all fields.

Power:  Flashes pop to all fields.

Offensive projection:  Middle of the lineup guy.

Field:  Open stance with quick feet behind the dish. Actions are quick back there. In the infield he plays with aggressive feet and above average ball skills. Solid defender over there.

Throw:  Developing arm strength with loose arm action.  Very consistent release point during his showcase with every throw being on target at second base.

Defensive Projection:  C/3B.

2/17/19

Body Type: 6-foot 225-pound prospect.

Swing Mechanics: Has a medium, open stance with tight hands. Shows a slight cast of the barrel and his barrel is in and out of the zone quickly.

HIt: Average bat to ball ability.

Power: 80 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection:
Projection would be limited to a line drive singles kind of approach.

Field: 2.08-2.17 pop time. Behind the plate he showed decent footwork with a quick, smooth exchange on his throws. Had a quick release too. Despite these movements being quick he didn’t seem to necessarily be quick or explosive overall. At 3B he squats too deep to field balls and waits on the ball. He was very two handed. The way he fields balls limits his ability to move athletically while in the infield.

Throw: 68 mph from behind the plate. 71 mph across the diamond.

Run: 4.94 home to first.

Defensive Projection: Presently would project best as a C at the next level.

2/17/18

Swing it from the left side starting in a crouched setup. Starts movements early but shows simple actions. Bat shows whip through the zone with good strength to hands for class. Physical enough to hit in the middle of the lineup. Worked the entire field during BP, showing louder more juice to pull side. Behind the dish he showed quickness to both feet and transfer during defensive eval. Arm action fits the spot and throws were consistently on target. Overall grades out as an above average catch and throw guy for class. Received well in bullpens. Limited viewing on blocking but got the job done when he had to.

1/28/17

5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect. Lefty hitter with an athletic setup. Keeps his hands simple during his short stride forward. A back leg hitter that takes an uphill path to the ball. More weight shift into contact would aid him in leveling out path and using the whole field. Showed solid pop to his pull side. From the crouch, he starts in a squared, balanced stance. Takes a jab stab to the outside of his body and never squares upfront side creating some balance/directional issues. Arm action is short. Transfer has some quickness with his hands. Pop times ranged between 2.15 to 2.30. From third base, the throws through a ¾ type slot with short arm action. Tendency to field flat footed. Will be aided by consistently playing from his toes and creating angles on his throws. Showed range to both side.

Catcher Velocity: 67
Infield Velocity: 69
Home to 1st: 4.41
Exit Velocity: 78
