2/16/14 - The 6-foot-5 Henley has the protoypical size to play the first base position at the next level. Defensively, he moves well around the bag for his size and displays soft hands. At the plate, Henley starts in a balanced setup with a short stride, and while he does tend to have an arm bar in his load, he consistently gets the barrel through the zone with good use of his strong lower half and good hand quickness, generates some lift and the ball shows backspin carry off the bat, projects as a power bat at the next level, ran the best 60 time we have seen from him at 7.68, showed big bat speed with 96 mph tee exit velocity.
8/11/13 - 6-foot-5, 235-pound prospect, shows soft hands, accurate arm 79 mph across the infield. At the plate, hits from a balanced setup, short stride, good use of strong lower half generates bat speed, gap to gap approach with occasional pull side power, flashed bat speed with event best 94 mph tee exit velocity, ran 5.06 down the line, went 1-for-4 in game play with a hard single to left field, struck out 3 times mainly due to non-aggressive approach on this occasion but have seen much more aggressive approach from him previously, still like him as a hitter with power potential.
6/11/13 - 6-foot-4, 238-pound prospect, showed soft hands and good lateral movement, arm strength at 76 mph. At the plate, hits from a balanced setup and wide base, smooth load, short stride, good lower half torque in swing, definite power potential, ball jumps when squared up, solid contact in game play to all fields including sharp single to left, ran 7.83 60 yard dash which was a significant improvement from previous event, registered 91 mph tee exit velocity, also an improvement. Solid 2014 prospect with power potential.
