5-foot-10, 213 pounds, thick, durable frame, needs to work on conditioning. Throws from a high ¾ with clean arm actions, good leg drive. Simple and repeatable. Throws a cutter clocked between 76-77 mph. The cutter had good shape, showing that slight slide away from lefties and into the hands of righties. Generated ground balls during the games using it. Will need to continue honing command of this pitch to keep low in the zone, where it is most effective. The curveball velocity range was 69-72 mph. Good spin on it with an 11/5 shape, used early and often. Showed ability to throw for strikes. Adding a changeup to the mix and continuing to work on conditioning will help elevate his arsenal and with it, Lowenstein’s stock.

5-foot-10, 210-pound left-handed pitcher. The fastball touched 77 mph and had a downward plane on it. The spin pitch is big, sat at 70 mph. The delivery is deceptive and the slot is plus ¾. Pitches with an athletic lift and go. The front side has a hard pull of the glove on it, causing the slot to raise and take him off track to the plate. The delivery has effort and a minor tweak of the glove side will bring his slot down into its rightful spot. The stuff has a chance to be good, specifically the breaking ball, but the delivery needs to be calmed down.
