MLB Draft Combine: Slender bodied. Long path to high three-quarter release point. Tall/fall delivery down the hill. FB 92-93. Spike CB 83-85. CH 81-84.
6-foot-4, 175-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball touched 83 mph with good leverage to it. Showed a spin pitch at 70 mph, with the correct shape to it. The changeup is a work in progress as it sits at 73 mph. Really like this arm as there is a ton more to come and definitely a guy to see pitch. The arm works well and he gets good extension out front. The delivery is online and the tracking of his front shoulder is good at his age. The arm slot is slightly above ¾ and works freely. Pitches on top of rubber, needs to put the foot in the dirt in front of the slab. Staying tall on the backside will help his leverage and extension as well. A great deal to like and is an excellent follow. Frame should fill out nicely adding pounds and strength to his pitching ability.
