Day is an athletic outfield prospect with strong fundamentals. The right-handed hitter has a simple, slightly open set up with his hands preset in his launch position. He loads quickly into his backside with a toe tap. He has a small weight transfer and his barrel fires as his front foot hits the ground. He has some hand speed and his bat remains level through the zone with some extension. Balanced finish and line drive approach with an 88 mph exit velocity. In the outfield, he has a quick first step and decent footwork. He is able to get off throws relatively quickly as he has an average transfer and long, over the top arm action. Throws were on target with some carry at 78 mph.

2.19.17 - Strong athletic frame at 6-foot, 190-pounds. Hits from an ahtletic slightly open set with weight slightly forward. NIce rock back in load with leg kick that is balanced. Falls forward at time to hitting position, but shows a level path at the plate with bat speed and gap to gap ability. Shows some pull side power potential. Exit velocity of 90 mph. Clean hands and exchange in the outfield throwing from an over the top slot. Shorter arm action working through the ball with a velo up to 82 mph. Strong player and solid prospect in the 2018 class.

10.23.16 - Athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 180-pounds. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash. Hits from a square, athletic set up. Shows nice rhythm through load and stride. Weight stays over back side at times through swing. Short bath path with a level swing path to the ball. Good extension through contact. Exit velocity of 80mph. Active feet in the outfield with soft hands and a clean exchange. Worked through the ball well. Has an easy arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm slot. Throws topped out at 70mph from the outfield.
