VanDeWeghe is a 5-foot-10, 210 pound RHP. On the mound he steps forward with a calm presences working to his balance point then he accelerates towards the plate throwing from a high 3/4 arm angle. Front shoulder opens early forcing him to throw across his body at times. Ball jumps out of his hand with a heavy feel. Fastball sat 81-83 mph with lots of deception. Developing curve with an early break 55-63 mph and a sinking change up 55-62 mph thrown with a slower arm speed than his fastball.
