Has an aggressive two hand swing with good power to the pull side releasing his top hand after contact. Calm approach in the field while setting his feet to come through the ball. Catches out front, takes a step and throws across the diamond. On the mound repeats his delivery each time coming to a high balance point throwing downhill from a high 3/4 arm angle. Fastball sat 80-85 mph with a sinking feel and a 11/5 shaped curve 69-71 mph.

5-foot-11, 175 pound prospect has an athletic build with room for growth. In the field allows the ball to travel deep fielding it into his body throwing with a long arm across the diamond. Shows good foot speed moving to his back hand. Flashing a strong arm. At the plate sets up with his knees bent with a balanced stance. Uses hand movement to be in rhythm prior to the load and throwing his hands through the hitting zone. Ball jumps off the bat when he makes solid contact. On the mound repeats his delivery each time using a high leg lift throwing from a high 3/4 arm angle. Fastball explodes out his hand with cut action 83-86 mph. 11/5 curveball with a sharp break 67-68 mph and a sinking change up 77 mph.

Berghorst stands at 5-foot-11, 173-pounds with an athletic build. He showcases a quick arm on the mound from a 3/4 arm slot, generating some late sink on his 78-81 mph fastball. His 11/5 curveball shows late break at 69-70 mph and he showed a changeup that had similar action to his fastball and sat 72-75 mph. Berghorst also mixed in a slider that had tight break to it, similar to a cutter, and sat 73-74 mph. He showed the ability to throw all four pitches for strikes and with fastball arm speed.
