2/3/13 Gutierrez had one of the best overall performances at the Super 60. His swing is balanced, easy and repeatable. He demonstrated advanced bat speed, swing looseness and barrel whip through the zone. Most importantly, he barreled everything up with backspin carry. The Michigan recruit also ran a 6.76 60 while showing soft hands and smooth defensive actions at shortstop. And although he was clocked at 76 mph from shortstop, he proved he has plenty more in the tank on the mound, where he sat 88-90 and dialed it up to 91 mph twice.
