Overlund

6/18/13 Overlund is an athletic 5-foot-10, 181-pound outfielder/infielder.  Recently has added the ability to play in the infield giving him more versatility. At the plate showed to be athletic quick to and through zone.  Bat path keeps barrel in zone for a while.  In the field he shows solid arm strength with proper rotation in OF w/online carry. 

2/23/13 Overlund has dedicated himself to improving and has done just that.  His arm strength was noticeably improved from 75mph to 80mph. In the infield he shows really good progress for only starting to play it in the fall.  He showed soft hands and quick footwork. He ran one of the best 60's at the showcase at 6.94.

Overlund really excels at the plate. He is athletic and shows good extremely fast hands.  He explodes with his lower half and is short and compact.  He can hit the ball to all fields.  At 88mph his exit velo was one of the best at the showcase.

Overlund should see his stock rise after the Pre-Season All-State Showcase.


8/5/12 Overlund is an offensive machine.  At the Midwest Futures Games against some of the top pitching prospects in the Midwest, Overlund went 5-8.  He needs to improve defensively and settle on a true position but there is no doubt the bat plays well.
