6-foot-2, 175 pound athletic prospect. Good hands and footwork at third base, threw 82 mph across the infield. Ran 4.5 home to 1st. Quick hands with excellent lower half connection in swing. Bat speed registered at 73 mph.
6.25.13 Harper performed very well at Midwest Futures. Only 6-foot, 155-pounds has plenty of room to grow. Ran well at 7.05 in the 60. Arm was accurate from high ¾ slot across diamond. Showed solid arm strength with more to come (75mph). Liked his demeanor and swing at the pate. Balanced with smooth load. Definite gap potential. Shorter path with currently line drive results. There was some looseness to swing and has a chance to get better. Definite follow.
