6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect. Open stance. High hands lead to aggressive load. Ball jumps off the bat when located middle-in. Bat exit velocity was 93 mph. Good feet around the bag and strong arm across the diamond led to 82 mph arm velocity. Power arm with simple delivery. Over the top arm angle with quick arm speed. Athletic for this size. Fastball was 84-86, topping at 87 mph. Featured a power 12/6 curveball at 75-77 mph with good control.

6-foot-2, 210 pounds with a solid frame.  Two way prospect.  Ran a 7.65 60 yard dash time.  Big bodied first baseman that has great size for a 2016 grad.  At first base, he throws through a 3/4 slot with short arm action.  Displayed some life on throws topping out at 82 mph.  The right handed hitter uses a balanced stance with short stride.  Using a slightly uphill bat path, McManus offers a middle of the order power bat with gap ability.  Fluidity and balance are still a work in progress, but will continue to improve with repetitions.  Reached a top exit velocity of 79 mph.  On the mound, the right hander displayed quickness in arm speed with an easy effort delivery.  Plus command for all his pitches, along with some plus movement.   His 79-80 mph fastball features some late arm side run.  The 69 mph slider offers late sweeping action.  Also flashed a 68-72 mph sinking changeup thrown with near fastball arm speed.

The 6-foot-2 McManus is one of the best in his class. McManus’s arm works well and is loose. His fastball shows good life at 82-84 mph.  His delivery has a lot of movement as he loads up and works downhill.  His secondary stuff has a good start and shows the makings of being above-average.  Breaking ball was more of a slider (72-74 mph). Out of the stretch, McManus will need to improve his load to maintain his velocity. Overall, McManus has a bright future ahead of him as he progresses.
