6/24/2014
6-foot-1, 185 pound athletic prospect. Quick arm action getting downhill well on the mound. Fastball is heavy at 82-86 mph. Curveball at 70-71 mph and change-up with good sink at 75-76 mph. Good feel in the outfield with an accurate arm at 89 mph. Good range and hands at shortstop throwing 87 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.13 home to 1st. Good setup with loose hands in an inside/out swing. Bat speed registered at 80 mph.

6.18.13 Long and lanky 6-foot, 170-pound athlete.  Lots of room for growth.  Slinger arm action from field.  Best upside is on the mound.  Sat 82-84mph on the mound with low-3/4 slot.  Ball runs hard.  Slider action to breaking ball 76 mph.  Loose whippy arm action with more to come.
3.2.13 Bartkowiak's future is on the mound at this point. His fastball touched 85 MPH and sat mainly between 82-83 mph.  He works from a long and low ¾ arm slot. As a result, his ball runs and cuts. Everything he threw moved. He will have to improve his command moving forward. His breaking ball is more of a slider with a sweeping action to it (75 mph). Bartkowiak is raw at this point but certainly has upside.

This 6-foot, 172-pound sophomore attends Grand Blanc HS.  Bartkowiak’s best tool right now is his arm.  In the infield he was 82 MPH across the diamond.   He has long arm action from a ¾ slot.  Hands are soft.  At the plate, starts with high hands from a crouch-like position. Bat was fast. Shows level swing path that produces line drives.  Will reap the benefits of improving his lower half and incorporating it into his swing more. More pop in the bat will be seen down the road.
