5-foot-11, 165 pound physically strong prospect. Good approach with soft hands in the infield, fields a little deep. Short arm action with a velocity of 82 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.60 home to 1st. Clean load and stride with a short compact swing. Bat speed registered at 81 mph.
2/22/14
5-foot-10, 155 pounds with an athletic frame.  Registered a 7.66 60 yard dash time.  Throws through a high 3/4 slot with some longness in arm action.  Solid defensive middle infielder.  Offers soft hands, and smooth, fluid footwork.  Can work on quickening exchange to release time.  Topped out at 76 mph.  The right handed hitter uses a balanced stance with short stride. High hands trigger.  Uses a smooth level swing path, and consistently barreled pitches in BP.  Solid base allowing for compact repeatable swing. Top exit velocity of 75 mph.

9/29/13
Gordon’s stock continues to rise.  Solid defensive infielder.  Most likely will end up being a third baseman at the next level.  Good actions in the infield.  Threw from multiple angles with accuracy.  Good lateral mobility and positioning.  At the plate shows improvement.  A little more pop in the bat.  Level path.  Shows that he can barrel it up.

7/2/13
Gordon impressed once again and continues to improve.  Arm strength improved to 75mph across the diamond.  Played well through ball.  Arm was accurate and consistent.  Comortable throwing from different angels.  Well coached. At the plate swing has tightened up.  More pop in bat.  79mph exit velo now.  Coming along.
2/9/13
Gordon is a 5-foot-9 shortstop from Rochester HS in the Class of 2015.  Although Gordon is on the smaller side currently, he showed good lateral mobility in the infield ranging both to his left and his right.  At short he registered 71mph velocity across. His hands are soft and he demonstrated a good clean transfer from a shorter arm action.  Gordon does have a tendency to let the ball travel too deep into his fielding stance and gets a little flat footed at times.

At the plate he starts in a balanced stance and uses a short stride to maintain his balance.  His hands move quite a bit during his swing making it more of a two-part swing.  He did demonstrate the ability to make consistent contact.  He registered a 71mph exit velocity.
