8/20/16- 5-foot-11, 185-pound right-handed pitcher. #71 ranked player in MN 2017 class. Strong compact build. Travels across rubber, shows tempo and rhythm in delivery, lands across body, with extended clean arm action. Loose ¾ arm slot; tends to release with upright finish. Fastball was 81-83 mph with run and sink; sneaky velo- jumps on hitter. Short break for strikes on curveball at 72-73 mph. Tends to slow arm down on changeup, with cut action, at 68-70 mph.
Feb- 2015- 5-foot-11, 180-pound 2-way player. Ran a 7.53 60. Increased in every stat category since August 2014 event. Creates bat speed and shows pop to the gaps. No stride approach but still gets lower half incorporated into swing. High back elbow creates some length to contact but stays on ball well and shows ability to drive through. 81 mph exit velocity off tee. Moves well in outfield. Will field at times with two hands effecting balance and momentum. Arm works well and produced 83 mph velocity from outfield. Once he uses lower half more in throws; arm strength will increase. Shows some athleticism on mound. High ¾ slot with arm speed. Fastball shows life with slight cutting action at 80-82 mph. Breaking ball has tight rotation and sharp late break at 67-71 mph. Changeup is usable and throws with good arm action. Would benefit from closed stride and better finish; but shows good arm with ability to throw strikes.
August 2014
5-foot-10, 180-pound 2 way player. 4.87 home to first time. Right handed hitter with easy load in tall athletic setup. High hands with front heel turn trigger into swing. Short to contact with barrel whip and ability to stay on ball through contact. Ok pop to pull side of field. 79 mph exit velocity. Defensively moves well in the outfield. Shows ability to track balls and fields routine cleanly. Long extended arm action and uses front side to throw. High ¾ slot with outfield velocity of 78 mph. On the mound shows late life and hides the ball well throughout delivery and release. Simple mechanics with short leg kick and tends to rush from balance point. Lands on stiff front leg. ¾ arm slot produces slight movement on 80-82 fastball. Curveball is best pitch with sweeping 10/4 shape and good angle to right handed hitters. Simple delivery, hides the ball, and fastball jumps on hitters at times.
