9/15/17 - Verbally committed to Tennesse out of Crowder JC. 

6/9/15 - Ashby is a 6-foot-1 175-pound left-handed pitched that continues to show progress at events.  He posted one of the top LHP velos on the day at 85 mph, which he hit three times.  Worked consistently at 83-85 mph with fastball, late run, Showed better feel for curveball 67-69 mph, 1-to-7, late action, also showed a slider at 71-74 mph and a change-up at 74 mph.  He has a controlled delivery and throws with regular effort, staying in-line as he gets down the mound.  Ashby has a high three-quarters release, and pitched to contact during game action.
2/21/15 - Ashby is a 6-foot 175-pound left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2016 class. Ashby posted the highest left-handed fastball velo at the event at 84 mph, which is an increase since his last event.  Ashby has an over-the-top release, throws with regular effort, and has smooth rhythm during his delivery.  He stays in line towards the target, lands square, and has an athletic finish.  He worked at 83-84 mph with his fastball, slight run, has a 1-to-7 curveball, late action, down in zone, 66-69 mph change-up, straight. 
6/17/14 – Ashby is a 5-foot-10, 160-pound southpaw.  He showed command of his curveball at 62-69 MPH with a 1-to-7 shape and sharp, late break.  Ashby’s fastball had slight run at 75-80 MPH and a plus change up at 65-71 MPH with sink.  He has a high ¾ release and a loose arm.  He has a repeatable delivery and has shown signs of improvement since his last showcase.  Look for Ashby to make strides as the season continues.
2/21/14 – Ashby is a projectable 5-foot-9, 155-pound left-handed pitcher.  Ashby was a strike-thrower with a fastball clocked between 76-78 MPH.  He had a 1/7 curveball with late break at 63-64 MPH.  His change-up was thrown at near fastball arm speed at 66-70 MPH with some fade.  Ashby showed good feel for a splitter at 66-67 MPH.  Ashby has good rhythm in his delivery and has an over-the-top release.
