1/20/18 - Ryan ran a 6.72 60 and a 3.97 home to first at the Johnson County Winter Workout.  He posted a 91 mph exit velocity and 79 mph infield velo.

10/30/16 - Ryan is a 5-foot-11 150-pound left-handed hitting outfielder, right-handed pitcher and shortstop in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 6.98 60, one of the fastest times of the day, and a 4.12 home-to-first, one of the top LHH times of the day. He has an 89 mph exit velo, one of the top LHH exit velos. At the plate, starts loaded in back side, smooth rhythm, short in line stride, level swing, consistent hard contact gap-to-gap during batting practice, feel for the barrel.  In the outfield, 80 mph positional velo, easy high three quarters arm slot, works through the ball with quick footwork and transfer, athletic actions, mostly accurate throws. On the infield, 80 mph positional velo, one of the top velos of the day, athletic actions, quick and loose high three quarters arm action, feet aggressive to the ball, plays through the catch, mostly accurate throws, flashing back spin carry. On the mound, Ryan has a loose high three-quarters release, hands raise with knee lift, in line stride, showed command of three pitches, fastball at 80-81 mph, one of the top fastball velos for the event, curveball has 11-to-5 action, 66-68 mph, late action, down in the zone, controllable change up at 73-75 mph, near fastball arm speed.

1/18/16 - Ryan is a 5-foot-11 150-pound left-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He runs a 4.22 home-to-first, one of the best among LHH and has a 71 mph exit velo.  At the plate, starts in back leg, smooth load with no wasted movement, in-line stride, line-drives to middle of the cage, level path to extension.  On the infield,  71 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, athletic footwork, clean exchange, soft hands, plays through catch. On the mound, Ryan has a repeatable delivery, body stay under control, quick and loose arm action, over the top release, athletic finish, fastball at 75-78 mph, bottom of zone, breaking ball has 11-to-5 shape, some with late movement, change-up at 68-72 mph, has some feel for the mound, high percentage to strikes.

10-3-2018: Athletic freshman shortstop with a loose swing and good barrel control of a contact-oriented swing. Should develop even greater bat control and the ability to drive the ball into the gaps as he gains weight/strength in the future. Plus runner, light on his feet. Present below average arm should easily be at least average in the future. Sure hands with athletic actions on the turf. Draft follow for 2021. (Seifert)
