1/31/16 - Roach right-handed pitcher in the 2018 class of Lutheran St. Charles HS. Roach’s slender 6-foot-0, 170 pound frame and athletic build project out well for the future. His delivery is repeatable and has good rhythm and further his high ¾ arm slot provide for natural run on his fastball and changeup. The fastball is heavy at 79-84 mph with late action. The changeup is tough to pick up as it is thrown with fastball arm action between 73-76 mph with good life and action. Curveball has sharp 12-to-6 bite at 67-69 mph. Roach’s athletic build and easy arm action make him a prospect to keep an eye out for in the future. He ran a 7.38 60 and had an 83 mph exit velo. At the plate, athletic set up, no wasted movement in load, short path to contact, consistent solid contact during batting practice, gap-to-gap approach, repeats swing.  On the infield, 72 mph positional velo, ball gets in and out of glove, high three quarters release, athletic footwork to good fielding positon, athletic actions, mostly accurate throws.
