2/16/15 - Young is a tall, thin 6-foot-2, 155-pound left-handed pitcher from Salisbury HS in Central Missouri. Class of 2016. Long arms and legs. Short pivot, works to tall balance point, low three-quarters slot, loose arm, athletic finish. Easy delivery with rhythm and flow. Simple and repeats. Fastball runs arm side, sinks when below knees, also flashed cutting fastball glove side, 77-78 mph, 79 tops. Short, controllable breaking ball with slurve shape, 71-72 mph. Change-up with arm side running action, 73-74 mph. Projectable class of 2016 lefty with feel for his delivery and three pitches, plenty of room to fill out physically.
