At the plate, strong frame with loose hands, simple and controlled swing mechanics, balanced set up, short in line stride, quick bat speed, solid consistent line drives gap-to-gap during batting practice, singled to centerfield in game action.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.14 and 2.20-seconds, 75 mph positional velo, one of the top velos for the event, over the top release, fluid transfer, quick feet, clean exchange, accurate throws with carry. On the infield, 81 mph positional velo, one of the top for the event, over the top release, momentum thought he catch, quick footwork with fluid transfer, accurate throws.

2/15/16 - Reed is a 5-foot-10 190-pound right-handed hitting catcher and shortstop in Missouri’s 2017 class.  He ran a 4.25 home-to-first and has an exit velo of 88 mph. At the plate, athletic stance, smooth load, hands walk away from stride, level path to extension, solid consistent contact, gap-to-gap, pull power.  Behind the plate, 2.02 to 2.25 pop times, one of the top pop times of the event, 79 mph positional velo, top catcher velo of the event, hands and feet are in sync, over the top release, fluid catch and throw, accurate throws. On the infield, 75 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, fields ball in athletic position, clean transfer with quick release, mostly accurate throws.
