Combs is a 5-foot-11 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 7.12 60 and a 4.65 home to first. He has an 85 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts slightly open, controlled leg lift, minimal movement in hands to load, level path through the zone, mostly middle of the field contact during hitting evaluations, repeats timing.  In the outfield, 73 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, momentum to throw after the catch, works behind the ball, fluid transfer on time with footwork, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Combs has a high three quarters arm slot, throws with some effort, works in line down the mound, repeats delivery, fastball at 79-81 mph, has command working arm side at times, late run, breaking ball has 11-to-5 action, mostly 60-63 mph.

Combs is a 5-foot-11 145-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 7.34 60 and a 4.49 home-to-first, one of the top RHH times.  He has an 84 mph exit velo.  At the plate, balanced set up, short stride, minimal load with no wasted movement, middle of the field line drives, simple and repeatable swing, hands work inside ball, singled to left field in game action.  In the outfield, 79 mph positional velo, high three quarters arms slot, aggressive to the ball, works through the catch, footwork creates clean exchange and momentum, mostly accurate throws, lean frame that projects. On the mound, Combs sat 75-77 mph with fastball, some flashing late run, 12-to-6 breaking ball, 56-61 mph, fastball arm speed, compliments fastball well, throws both pitches for a strike, high three quarters release, throws with regular effort, hands raise with leg lift, throws slightly across body, smooth tempo in delivery, forced contact from hitters in game action, one strike out, one walk, one hit, faced six hitters.
