8/5/15 - Castrop is a 5-foot-10 175-pound right-handed pitcher. Castrop was 74-79 mph with is fastball, showed an 11-to-5 shaped breaking ball at 65-69 mph.  Change-up at 70-72 mph, arm sink.  In the zone with all three pitches. Loose arm action, repeatable release and delivery, throws with regular effort, works both sides of plate.

2/16/15 - Castrop is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed pitcher in the class of 2016. Attends Rockhurst HS in Kansas City, MO. Under control throughout delivery, tucks knee at balance, leads with hip, three-quarters slot, athletic finish. Simple delivery, repeats. Body control. Fastball with arm side run and sink, strikes, 77-82 mph. Breaking ball with gradual 12/6 action, 63-67 mph. Commands sinking change-up at the knees, 68-69 mph, good pitch. Velocity jump since the fall.

11/2/14 - Castrop is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed pitcher. Simple, repeatable delivery with rhythm. Slight turn at balance, hides ball. Throws from tall balance point. High-three-quarters arm action, easy. Worked fastball both sides of the plate, sinking action arm side, 74-76 mph, 77 tops. Breaking ball with 12/6 shape, gradual action, 59-61 mph. Feel for sinking change-up, 66-68 mph.
