11/1/15 - Woods is a 6-foot-2 175-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 7.38 60 and a 4.84 home-to-first. Offensively, 81 mph exit velo, smooth pre-swing rhythm, toe tap for timing, loose and free hands create bat whip to extension, power to pull gap, used whole field during batting practice.  On the infield, Woods has a 78 mph positional velo, one of the best among middle infielders, athletic actions, with quick catch and throw, loose arm action, over the top arm action, arm works from different angles, accurate throws, athletic frame with more in the tank. On the mound, Woods topped at 78 mph, working 75-77 mph with fastball, wide shouldered, simple and repeatable delivery, loose arm action, throws on downhill plane, throws strikes with fastball and curveball, curveball has late/sharp 11-to-5 action, 68-72 mph, throws with regular effort.
10/18/14 - Woods is a athletic, wide-shouldered 6-foot-1 165-pound right-handed hitting SS. Projects well at SS, with advanced actions, quick release, fluid footwork, accurate throws, positional velo of 72.  Offensively, has no wasted moves, smooth load and rhythm, quick bat speed, consistent line drives to middle of field in BP, 78 mph exit velo, 4.78 home-to-first.  Woods projects to be one of the top players in the 2018 class.
10/18/14 - Woods is a athletic, wide-shouldered 6-foot-1 165-pound right-handed pitcher, Woods is projectable at SS and RHP, working his fastball at 75-78 mph with slight sink, worked mainly outer third to RHH, high ¾ release, throws with regular effort with smooth rhythm and loose arm action, 11-to-5 curveball at 63-66 mph, near fastball arm speed, change-up at 68-69 mph, with sink, long-legged and projectable for the 2018 class, youngest pitcher in event.
6/24/14 – Woods is a projectable, athletic 6-foot-1, 165-pound right-hand hitting shortstop. He ran a 60 at 7.40 and home-to-first 4.94. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot. His throws were very accurate and had good carry. Jakob has soft hands and quick fluid feet. His position velo was 74 MPH. At the plate, Woods has an athletic setup with a smooth load. He uses his lower half well and has good balance through his swing. Jakob uses the middle of the field and adjusts to the inside pitch well. Has some real power potential. He had an exit velo of 79 MPH.
