8/17/14 – Rand is an athletic 5-foot-10, 160-pound right-hand hitting outfielder. He posted a home-to-first time of 4.53. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with good arm action. Joshua’s throws were mostly accurate and had good carry. He has quick feet and attacks the ball. His outfield velocity was 77 MPH. At the plate, Rand has an athletic setup with a back load. Joshua keeps a level bat path and gets good extension through his swing. He produces gap-to-gap line drives and uses the middle of the field. He had an exit velo of 81 MPH. He hit a double to left center field and had an infield hit during the game.

2/23/14 – Rand is an athletic 5-foot-9, 160-pound outfielder. Offensively, he has a gap-to-gap approach that produces line-drives with backspin.  He has a simple load and a level path that gives him an exit velo of 86 MPH, second best in outfielders at the event.  During the defensive evaluations, Rand registered a positional velo of 79 MPH with mostly accurate throws to the bag.  He showed a loose, over-the-top throwing motion with a clean hand-to-glove exchange.   He ran a 4.37 home-to-first
