Transferred to Jefferson JC (MO) from Murray State.

6/9/15 - Perkins is a 6-foot-2 220-pound 3B with an exit velo of 89 mph and 7.01 60.  Perkins has a smooth load, and attacks ball with linear move, fast bat speed, level to extension, ability to hit to all fields and produce backspin, tripled to left center in game action, ran a 4.16 home-to-first, Defensively, over-the-top release,  80 mph positional velo, one of the best of the event,  momentum through throw, quick feet, soft hands, accurate throws. On the mound, Perkins worked at 82-85 mph with his fastball, over-the-top release, regular effort.  Has a knuckle-curve with 12-to-6 shape, hard/late action, 66-70 mph.  Recently committed to Murray State.
2015 1st Team All-GAC South Conference - Infield
8/2/14 - Perkins was on base in the three of is six plate appearances during the Future Games. He scored one run, stole one base, and picked up an RBI vs. Pennsylvania.  Perkins got the Missouri bench off their feet with a blast that hooked foul against Illinois that would have won the game in the seventh. He posted a 91 MPH exit velo during the skills evaluations

6/17/14 – Perkins is a physical 6-foot-2 195-pound first-baseman.  Perkins moves with a purpose at 1B, showing aggressive actions to the ball.  He has soft hands and make accurate throws.  At the plate, Perkins attack the ball with a strong lower half.  He produces a fast, level bat path through extension.  He has a gap-to-gap approach with pull power.  Perkins has an 86 MPH exit velo and runs a 4.62 home-to-first with a 7.48 60.

6/19/13: Perkins is a projectable 6-foot-2, 190-pound two way player who has shown progression since his last event, especially on the mound. With quick arm speed and short arm action from a high ¾ arm slot, Perkins’ fastball sat in the 79-83 mph range, topping at 84-mph with some arm side run and around the strike zone. Perkins also threw a 11-to-5 breaking ball (66-mph) with late movement and a 64-66 mph change up with some depth. In the field, Perkins looks to be a sure handed fielder. He stays back on the ball a bit, but has a quick transfer and release with good arm speed (top throw of 76-mph). At the plate, Perkins has balance through his swing, using his strong hands to generate some bat speed. He showed ability to drive the ball hard with some pull side power and a top exit velocity of 81-mph.

11/11/12: Perkins is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound two-way player who, as he continues to progress as a player, has the potential to be a top Class of 2016 player. On the mound, Perkins topped at 83-mph with his fastball, which showed some arm side movement. He also showed a 11-to-5 breaking ball with near fastball arm speed, and a 65-67 mph knuckle curve with cut and sink; a legit out pitch. In the field, Perkins has fluid footwork and soft hands with a clean transfer while playing through the ball. At the plate, Perkins is very quite in the box with little wasted movement. He shows a short, compact swing with extension through contact and driving the ball to all fields. Perkins is a player to watch as he physically matures the next few years.

10-3-2018: Strong bodied at six-foot-two, 220 pounds Perkins brings good bat speed and above average raw power to the batter’s box from the right side. Struggled at times with spin, yet crushed the fastball. Has some stiffness to his overall game with a below average arm. Likely middle of the lineup bat for the Cougars this spring. (Seifert)
