6/28/16 - Heckenbach has a simple and repeatable delivery with an explosive lower half. Heckenbach threw pitches for strikes in game action, fastball between 81 and 85 mph, occasional cut and a changeup at 77 mph with occasional sink. Heckenbach has a high three quarter arm slot, strides slightly across his body and recorded three strikeouts in game action - two coming on his changeup while the other was the result of his fastball.
2/20/16 - Heckenbach is a 6-foot 170-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2017 class from Smithville HS.  On the mound, hands create rhythm and tempo raising with leg lift, coils at balance point, throws slightly across body, high three quarters release, high percentage of strikes with three pitches, fastball at 77-79 mph, some with late run, curveball at 63-66 mph, 11-to-5 action, lowers release point, down in zone, change up at 71-74 mph, cutting action.

6/16/15 - Heckenbach is a 6-foot 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in the 2017 class. Heckenback ran a 7.23 60 and had an 84 mph exit velo. During hitting evaluations, Heckenbach has a balanced set-up, starts with a reverse toe tap to load, short stride, fluid rhythm. He had consistent solid contact during batting practice with a gap-to-gap approach. In the outfield, Heckenbach over-the-top release with 82 mph throw, one of the best for the event, fluid exchange, plays through the ball, loose arm action. Athletic actions that will continue to improve. On the mound, Heckenbach has a deliberate tempo during his delivery, stays in line and lands in athletic position.  He has an over-the-top release with quick arm speed.  Heckenbach touched 83 mph twice, working at 81-82 mph.  Curveball was 12-to-6 at 67-70 mph, stays on top, release out front, change-up at 75-76 mph.
