6/16/15 - McDaniel is a 5-foot-11, 190-pound right hand-hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2017 class. He ran a 60 time of 7.35. High 3/4 arm slot, fluid footwork, quick/clean exchange, good carry on throw. Position velo was 81 mph.  At the plate, McDaniel has a crouched setup with a smooth load. Swing produces line drives, middle/oppo approach, projectable strong frame. Exit velo was 85 mph. He touched 88 mph twice and worked at 84-86 mph from the mound. All of his pitches showed life. High 3/4 arm slot, some effort, quick arm speed, athletic finish.  McDaniel worked at 84-87 mph with his fastball, strike thrower. 12-to-6 curveball, 70-72 mph. Slider at 74-77 mph, 10-to-4 shape. Change-up at 74-76 mph with fastball arm speed, good sink. McDaniel showed velo increase since last event.
6/4/14 – McDaniel is a 5-foot-11 175-pound RHP.  He throws from a ¾ arm slot.  His fastball has late run/sink and is 79-82 MPH. McDaniel's curveball has a late, 12/6 break and was clocked at 64-67 MPH. He showed a good slider late cut at 74-75 MPH and a change at 72 MPH. He displayed above average command.
6/4/14 – Trey McDaniel is an athletic 5-foot-11 175-pound right hand hitting infielder. He throws with a ¾ arm slot and made mostly accurate throws. McDaniel has mostly a pull approach with some pop. He has a balanced stance, short stride, and produces good bat speed. His exit velo was 83 MPH.
1/20/14 – Trey McDaniel is an athletic-framed 5-foot-10 168-pound right hand hitting SS.  He throws with a ¾ arm slot and made mostly accurate throws.   He has a fluid, clean exchange and has threw 78 MPH across the infield.  McDaniel has mostly a pull approach because of a slightly stiff front arm.  He has a balanced stance and produces good bat speed.  He has a 77 MPH exit velo and ran a 7.46 60.
1/20/14 – McDaniel is a 5-foot-10 168-pound right handed pitcher.  He throws from a ¾ arm and showed the ability to throw four pitches.  His fastball has late run and is 78-80 MPH.  McDaniel's curveball has a late, 12/6 break and was clocked at 59-64 MPH.  He showed a good slider late cut at 72-76 MPH and a change at 72-72 MPH.  As he continues to develop his secondary pitches he is a pitcher to follow in the 2017 class.
