2/10/19

5-foot-11, 185-pound left-handed pitcher who continues to improve every time we see him. The fastball touched 80-82 mph, arm side action to the pitch. The control of the fastball is solid. The spin pitch is improved, up to 71 mph and correct in shape. The changeup is an excellent pitch for him, sitting at 74-75 mph with fade and sink. The delivery is online, ¾ in slot. The lift is athletic, small coil at the top and then makes his way into foot strike. The tracking of the front shoulder can stay online longer to aid extension. Really like the way he is trending and expect him to be 84-86 with a plus changeup at some point this summer.

6/05/18

5-foot-9, 170-pound left-handed pitcher who continues to get better each time we see him. The delivery is compact, does a very good job of tracking the front shoulder to foot strike. The ball comes out nicely and he keeps the same hand speed on all his pitches. The posture of the top half is solid throughout, and the slot is free and clean. The fastball touched 80 mph, arm side run to the pitch. The spin pitch is good in shape, 73 mph. The changeup is excellent in my opinion and a minor tweak could be a college out pitch, sat at 73-76. I think he is a serious sleeper.

2/11/18

5-foot-9, 170-pound left-handed pitcher.  Threw extremely well at the Scout Day and he is progressing very nicely. The arm works out of a ¾ angle and he is a strike thrower. The feet are online and he stays closed on the top half until foot strike. The delivery is repeated, small coil at the top of the lift. The level of effort is minimal and he stays in his delivery at all times. The fastball has arm side run, touched 79 mph. More velocity is coming. The breaking ball is slurvy and needs more fastball hand speed to it, sat at 65 mph. The changeup is above average, sitting at 73-73 mph.  Solid prospect who is trending the right way.

6/28/17

5-foot-8, 160-pound left-handed hitting first baseman and pitcher. Showed very well at the event. At first base, solid glove and foot work on the diamond. Threw 72 mph, with good accuracy and a feel for throwing. Ran a 4.6 down the line on his dig to first base. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 70 mph. Hits out of even base and relaxed hands. The path is flat and long to the ball. The hands work, needs to shorten down, which will come with physical strength. Threw impressively on the bump. The fastball touched 77 mph with plus arm side run to it. The spin pitch was 64 mph, needs more fastball hand speed to it. The changeup is plus, sat at 67-70 mph and got swings and misses. The delivery is deceptive, athletic lift and go, pitches out of a ¾ slot. The front side doesn't do much, would like to see him get equal and opposite with his elbows to save on the arm. The arm works long on the backside and he has a good feel for pitching. Definite follow on the mound.

Tee Exit Velocity- 70 mph
INF Velocity- 72 mph

3/18/17

5-foot-8, 165-pound left-handed hitting first baseman and pitcher. Had to leave the event early due to injury. Showed a clean glove, good feet and awareness around the bag. Threw 67  mph across the infield with accuracy. The bat showed life, flat path and stayed in his legs during the swing. Need to see more of, but showed a good skill set.

INF Velo- 67 mph
