Wingfield is a physically built, broad shouldered infielder and right handed pitcher. Very athletic already for his age, Wingfield ran the 60 in 7.07 seconds and had an Exit Velocity of 70 MPH. Offensively- Wingfield starts in a tall stance with his knees slightly bent, and uses a big leg kick for power. Hands are explosive, but occasionally cuts his lower half off on his finish. Defensively- Projects more as a third baseman. Strong arm across the diamond with exceptional carry and back spin at 74 MPH. A little choppy in his approach to ground balls, and occasionally will field the ball too close to his body. Pitching- Wingfield throws from a high-3/4 angle with a very loose arm. Wingfield's fastball ranged between 80-81 MPH but looked much faster than that, especially with the types of swings he was getting with it. Throws a heavy ball, getting weak ground outs, while showcasing a hard, power 11-to-5 slider at 74 MPH with fastball hand speed.
