2017 New Jersey State Games (July 26-27, 2017)
Furman recruit. Sasso has a lean, athletic build at 5-foot-10 200-pounds. Fastball topped at 89 and sat mostly 86-88 throughout his outing. Flashed a curveball at 78-80 with smaller, cutter-like movement with 10/4 tilt. Methodical delivery into an athletic balance point. Uphill shoulders going down the mound creates some leverage down in the zone. Ball explodes out of hand. Got on hitter and created weak contact throughout his outing of work.

2018 RHP Anthony Sasso (Toms River North HS) took the mound in Game number two on the day vs. Team Connecticut in the 2016 Future Games. Sasso has a thicker, more stocky build standing 5-foot-11, 195-pounds. Sasso works with fluid pace to his delivery, throws from a clean, down arm-action from a high-3/4 slot. Fastball sat 82-83 touching 85 a few times. Curveball shows loose 11/5 shape sitting 71-72, he also threw a slider/cutter type pitch at 75-76 with early side-to-side shape.
New Jersey Games (July 23-25, 2016)
Sasso is athletic and physical at 6-feet 185-pounds. Topped at 89 but sat mostly 84-87 in his outing. Flashed a changeup at 80 mph. Gets leverage with high gloveside. When he finishes through, he peppers the bottom half of the zone. Occasionally that high glove side runs him into trouble with not being able to finish through it - causing him to miss high and high arm side with fastball. Aggressive quick arm action, throws fastball with conviction. Competitor. Landing is square and athletic.

Winter Trials South (January 30, 2016)
Anthony is an athletic 5-foot-10 185 pound RHP with a strong lower half and clean actions. Pitching- Starting from glove side on the rubber, Anthony uses a deliberate build up to his balance point starting with a short drop step up to  a 3/4 chest high leg drive with a slight lean back over rear leg. Arm action is long and loose with late acceleration through a 3/4 arm slot. Gets up and over front side with ease and works downhill with minimal stress. FB sits in the 82-84 MPH range with more in the tank with possible increased pace. Easy velocity out of the hand with some sink. CB had some bite to it with 1-to-7 action in the 70-71 MPH range. Change up demonstrated proper arm speed and differential in the 74-75 MPH range. Occasionally could spike an off-speed pitch but this could be grip related as Anthony is not of the overthrowing mindset.
