9/19/15 – Maglione has a typical pitcher’s frame at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds. Maglione, like most times I see him, had a shutdown outing. He pitches with good tempo, solid repeatability, and excellent direction. He has a good amount of T-Spine mobilization which allows for hip-shoulder separation. He has a quick arm with a stabbing pause at the bottom of his arm action for timing. He pitches from a ¾ arm slot and has a very high level of pitchability. He sat 78-82 miles-per-hour with his fastball that generates sink and run. He combines that with a short 11-to-5 breaking ball (68-69 MPH) and a late fading changeup at 70-71 MPH. He has a quality three-pitch mix and a spike in velocity will allow him to jump in the rankings.
