May 2018
Bardo threw a complete game against Vestal, pitching 6 innings.  He faced 27 batters and yielded 7 hits, 3 ER, 9 K, and 2 BB. Bardo threw 98 pitches with 66 for strikes.  On this night his fastball was 82-84, change up at 77, and curve 68-70. 4 of his strikeouts came with batters watching the curve on the outside corner for a called 3rd strike.

May 2018

Full frame, commanded the zone with fastball, showed signs of arm-strength sitting 83-85 MPH with late sink, groundball contact type of pitcher. He showed a slurve type breaking ball that sat 68-71 with average shape. Very good looking arm that's headed to Cortland next year.

Campus Series - Oswego - August 15, 2017

Bardo stands a durable 6-foot-3, 225-pounds. Pitching- Slow pace to mechanics, shorter stride, arm-side run from a 82-85 MPH fastball. Shows improved spin on curveball, sitting 70-73 mph with 11/5 shape. Change up works in the zone at 74-75 MPH. Has the size to throw harder, needs to continue to improve on his backside towards the plate. Ceiling could be high for Bardo.

Campus Series-Albany (July 18, 2017)
Bardo stands in at 6-foot-3, 225-pounds with a tall and thick pitcher's frame. Pitching- Has a collegiate pitcher build with a strong lower body and efficient upper body mechanics that will get better with teaching. From the windup, Bardo sets up with his feet shoulder width apart in a relaxed position. Utilizes a short side step to start into a high leg raise above the hip crease while his hands are in motion prior to getting into the power position. Creates good separation driving forward when his lead leg starts to move towards target while his arm gets good loose action into his mid-3/4 release point. Utilizes his lower body well getting his whole-frame involved in the delivery. Efficient hitting the strike zone keeping the ball low while hitting his target. Peak fastball was recorded at 82 MPH, 4 MPH shy of his posted 86 MPH at our Canisius Campus Event on July 5, 5017. Fastball range was 79-81 MPH and does show small arm side run. Curveball continued to show tight 12/6 action that can be thrown for a strike. Recorded range of 68-71 MPH. Change up shows good arm side break with a proper velocity difference being recorded at 72-75 MPH. Was consistent hitting the strike zone and keeping hitters off balance.
Campus Series- St. Bonaventure (July 11, 2017)
Bardo stands in at 6-foot-3, 225-pounds with a tall and thick pitcher's frame. Pitching-  From the windup, Bardo sets up with his feet shoulder width apart in a relaxed position. Utilizes a short side step to start into a high leg raise above the hip crease. Creates good separation driving forward when his lead leg starts to move towards target while his arm gets good loose action into his release point just above the shoulder. Efficient hitting the strike zone keeping the ball low and hitting his target. Peak fastball was recorded at 84 MPH, 2 MPH of last week’s 86 MPH. Fastball range was 82-83 MPH and does show small arm side run. Curveball has tight spin showing 12/6 action that can be thrown for a strike. Recorded 70-72 MPH. Change up shows good arm side break with a proper velocity difference being recorded at 74-75 MPH. Was consistent hitting the strike zone and keeping hitters off balance.
Campus Series-Canisius (July 5, 2017)

Bardo stands in at 6-foot-3, 225-pounds with a tall and thick pitcher's frame. Has a next level build with a strong lower body and efficient upper body mechanics that will get better with time. Peak fastball was recorded at 86 MPH with a range of 83-86 MPH and does show small arm side run. Curveball has tight spin showing 12/6 action that can be thrown for a strike. Recorded 70-72 MPH. Change up shows good arm side break with a proper velocity difference being recorded at 68-72 MPH. Was consistent spotting secondary pitches for strikes and getting hitters to offer.
NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)
Impressive 6-foot-2, 255-pound right-hander who is a veteran of PBR events. Pitching - clean, loose arm action, positive hip tilt at the balance point for a fastball with late movement that explodes at the plate at 80-83 MPH, touched 85 MPH, uses height to get consistent downward plane, effortless delivery, spot inside and out, showed improvement with curveball at 68-71 MPH - created greater variance between fastball velocity and that of breaking pitch, throws a change-up at 74-75 MPH for strikes.
Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)

Stands 6-foot-3, 225 pounds with a larger build running an 8.38 60. Pitching- On the mound uses an over the head delivery, side-step, long arm-action releasing the ball from a high 3/4 slot. Fastball was consistent at 80 mph, topped at 81 MPH. His stride could be longer allowing him to get the ball on a downhill plane better. Showed a nice changup at 73 mph with slight fade arm-side. Offensively- Sets up in a spread stance with bat flat on the shoulder; slides hands back for timing while taking a short stride and staying behind the ball. Aggressive lower half with some lift to the backside of his swing; line drive flyball results with  with a peak exit velocity of 88 MPH.
NY All-Star Games (September 17, 2016)
Bardo works from a large frame with thick lower half at 6-foot-3, 212-pounds. Pitching- Good pace to his delivery, front side swings open as he drives forward, falls too hard towards firstbase. Fastball sat 78-80 MPH, can run it up to 81-83 when the mechanics are smooth, slider has late tilt action. Big offseason for the southern-tier junior.
New York Games (June 27-29, 2016)
Bardo has the size from the mound most would dream of. 6-foot-3, 210-pounds and has not matured strength wise yet. Pitching- Delivery is compact up to the point of separation, he does fly-open with his glove side allowing his hand to get away from his body too early - ball leaks away at times. When hes in sync, fastball sits 78-82 MPH with arm-side run and tilt. Curveball shows more slider feel at 70-72 mph, 10/4 break. The body alone leaves many interested but time will tell which way the 2018 RHP goes.

Preseason All-State (Feb 28, 2016)
Bardo brings a large body build to the mound standing 6-foot-3, 211-pounds. Last time we saw him throw was Aug 27 where he showed signs of positive projection, but the numbers weren't quite there. A lot of hard-work has paid off for him this off-season, and the projectable tools we saw prior are staring to rise to the surface. Pitching - he uses a high-leg lift, hands start to separate near his chest as he drive forwards from a big-lower half. He uses great shoulder/hip separation, front side flys open early with a head-lean towards 1B before release. Arm-action is long and back towards 2B, throws from a high-3/4 slot. Fastball has really improved from 74-76 in Aug to sitting 80-82, topping 83 mph with some gradual arm-side tail. Definitely more velocity to come for the big-bodied sophomore. Slider sat 71-72 with tight-cutter like feel, one did show some downward tilt. Change up has a chance to be a serious weapon showing natural feel, hand-speed, with movement down and to the side at 76 mph. Must follow as he continues to improve.

WNY All-Star Games  (August 27, 2015)
Alex stands at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, a big-bodied righty.  On the mound, he uses a simple side step, balanced delivery, arm action is fairly clean and loose, throws with an over the top arm slot.  His fast ball was (74-76 MPH).  Throws a sweeping slider that works now with 10/4 shape and changeup had a little late downward action.  In the game, he got hitters to hit groundballs and he seems very composed and comfortable.  With work in the off-season it is very possible that he will easily bump his fastball consistently into the 80’s.
New York Games (July 7-9, 2015)
RHP Bardo is a big-bodied righty that is just starting to develop into a pitching prospect. Fastball sat 74-76 (have seem him touch 81 when mechanics are sound) has natural arm-side run. Throws a sweeping slider that works now with 10/4 shape but needs to be tighter and faster the higher he gets. He works hard and his velocity has jumped big time from a year and a half ago, expect him to be on a lot of radars in the next year.

Southwest NY Prospect Games (September 7, 2014)
Bardo stands 5-foot-10 175-pounds and has average build. With the bat his approach is solid with a wide stance and very little movement. His swing is long and his path is level through the zone making consistent contact with an exit velocity of 70 mph. At 1B he stays in front of the ball but drops his arm low on his throws at a very low sidearm action. His Arm strength is 65 mph.
