60 Yard Dash:
6.8
Exit Velocity:
91
Positional Arm:
76
Pop-Time: 1.95-2.0
6-foot-1, 180-pounds, very athletic build, ran a 6.8 60-yard dash. Open base defensivley, soft hands, smooth arm action, quick high 3/4 release with a 1.95 pop-time in the workout, 76 mph arm-strenght behind the dish. Defensivley, open stance, low leg lift, low hands, Above average bat-speed (91 mph) with good hip rotation, barrels up the ball with hard contact. Next-level athlete.
Future Games (August 2-5, 2017)
High end athlete who can handle both the OF and behind the plate. The right-handed hitter ran a 6.89 60. Offensively- Slightly open stance; gains gound with stride as he works back to even. Quiet with hands early on, accelerates through the zone; aggressive lower half leads the way; elevated with a late one-handed finish. Gap-to-gap ability and handled upper level pitching very well over the 3 days. Defensively- Angled setup, quick with footwork but slight delay in getting throwing hand to the glove; arm action is short and over the top with his peak velocity at 76 MPH. Pop times ranged from 1.98 to 2.12. Also worked in as an outfielder, efficient first step footwork and closing speed. Offensive abilities may allow for him to work in at both positions at the next level.
NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)
6-foot-1, 180-pound athletic catcher, ran a 6.96/60. Offensively - smooth and easy swing, short to the ball, makes consistent barrel contact, slight upper cup after contact with full extension and an exit velocity of 85 MPH - has personal best of 92 MPH; repeatable motion, comfortable driving ball to middle third, elite level competitor who connected on first home run of high school career during sectional final and sparked a two-run seventh in come-from-behind 3-2 win. Defensively - fundamentally sound, easy transition to blocking, stays low through the receiving process, quick and easy transfer with a catcher velocity of 82 MPH and POP time of 1.96-2.05; clean footwork in the outfield, confident and poised.

May 2017

6-foot-1 with impressive athleticism, rugged frame. Shows patience at the plate, gap power, learning how to use all fields. Above arm from the outfield, accurate with quick release, makes smooth, transition from glove to throwing hand.
Diamond Pro Workout (January 14, 2017)

Beauchamp is solidly built at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds. Was clocked at 4.27 seconds from home to first base. Offensively- Begins with his feet at shoulder width and hands just above back shoulder. Uses a lift and replace leg kick while his hands push back for a load. Weight drifts forward when front leg lands. Swing path is down and up while contact is made well in front of body, producing fly ball results. Had an exit velocity of 87 MPH off of the tee, well above average for his age. Defensively- Sets up low and comfortable in his crouch. Transfer is smooth and quick and could be even more efficient staying direct on his draw (through the collar bone vs. across the belt line). Arm action is short and gets ball out quickly. Had pop times between the range of 2.08-2.16 seconds with a throwing velocity of 70 MPH from behind the plate.
