Jack Weiller (John Jay Cross River HS, NY) who emerged as the clear standout in a warm-up game against a Canadian team down in Jupiter last month. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Virginia recruit is a fluid athlete who exudes confidence on the field. Offensively, the left-handed hitter has a relaxed plate approach, one that is highly athletic with an easy, loose swing. In his first at-bat, he got fooled on a pitch but kept his hands back, allowing him to wrist-flick a line-drive single through the right side. Following a walk, he inside-outed a single through the 5-6 hole. Defensively, he moves well laterally and showed good carry across the infield.
