Preseason All-State (Feb, 2015) Coene stands 5-foot-10, 160-pounds with a solid build. At the plate he starts with his weight back, hands low just below his shoulder height. On the pitch his hands load up and back, front heel comes off the ground, short path to the ball, slight inclined path, good extension out in front, high finish. From the MIF he move well around the ball, ball gets just a touch too deep, open glove, clean funnel and transfer. Arm action is long, slot is mid-3/4. He ran a 7.11 60 yard dash.

Coene stands 5-foot-10, 160-pounds with an athletic build. From MIF he uses smooth actions to the ball, soft hands, clean transfer, straight back arm action, throws form a mid-3/4 slot with 78 mph arm strength. He shows signs of athleticism running a 7.28 60 yard dash. At the plate his setup is slightly open, relaxed. On the pitch he back loads for timing, strides to even. Hands power inside the field of play (81 mph exit velocity off a tee (wood) short path, level barrel, high finish. Rolls over on his front stride leg at times, needs to focus on more front-side balance. Overall good prospect to keep an eye on.
