Iengo

Joseph stands at 6-foot-4, 190 pounds, with plus size. He ran a 60 yard dash time of 8.06. Defensively – At first base he has good mechanics, with a strong arm.  He fields the ball out in front, has a clean transfer, shuffles his feet before he release the ball to his target.  He throws with an over the top arm slot from first base and an arm strength of 80 mph. Offensively – At the plate he is a tall imposing figure with power.  His stance is very relaxed and balanced, short stride, with minimal back load.  He is very compact and strong, swing path is right to the ball with an upward tilt through the ball.  He get nice long extension through the ball, with a high finish.  His exit velocity was 88 mph.  A player with lots of upside, strong arm and powerful bat. Pitching - Shows plus frame size but needs to fill out more, arm looked cleaner than we have seen it, velocity on the fastball has more life and zip (81), feel for spin on his curveball.

New York Games (July 7-9, 2015)

Athletic, big and solid frame at 6-foot-4, 190-pounds. Clean and smooth instincts in the field, has good hands and glove work, has a good transfer with average arm strength, releases at a low -3/4 arm slot and shows good accuracy to target. At the plate has a relaxed and balanced setup, smooth back load and balance to the pitch, hands are slightly long over the plate, has some uphill tilt in bat path, but makes good contact and finishes in a balanced position. 

Elite Prospect Showcase- PA (November 1, 2014)

There is a lot to like in Iengo's 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame. The sophomore sat 76-79 with a hip coil delivery from a long, loose high 3/4 arm slot. The righty also showcased a 69 mph curveball with slider action and a circle change at 72 mph that shows some sink. Iengo showed a repeatable delivery and good balance. As his frame continues to develop he should see added velocity gains and additional movement from his long-arm delivery. Iengo hits from a square stance with high hands and incorporates a toe-tap. He has some length in his swing and a high, helicopter finish. His long frame makes an excellent target at first base, while he showcased solid feet and hands around the bag
