WNY Pro Holiday Clinic (December 19, 2015)

Stands 5’5 130 pounds the senior middle infielder ran a solid 4.26 down the line.  Offensively- At the plate he sets up balanced and uses a small stride and simple load up top.  He consistently barrels the ball up and showed to be a solid contact guy. Defensively-  In the field he showed good a smooth glove and good natural actions in the infield.  He works through everything nicely and uses a quick transfer.  He had good range up the middle and threw from a 3/4 slot.  With some added time in the weight room he could see even more improvement to his game.

Western New York Open (July 23, 2015)
Stands at 5-foot-5, 130 pounds, with an athletic body build.  He ran a 4.68 Home to 1st from the right-hand side.  Defensively- He has a smooth approach through the ball, with smooth, soft hands, throws with a high 3/4 arm action, plays through the ball nicely, with some range, and has accuracy on the target.  His arm strength was 71 MPHOffensively- At the plate his setup is relaxed and balanced stance, short to no stride, with a back load.  His hands are very compact, plane is straight to the ball, and has shoulder high finish with nice extension through the ball.  His exit velocity was 72 MPH
Western NY Combine (January 3, 2015)
Brink stands 5-foot-5, 130-pounds with a smaller frame. Defensively- Brink gets around the ball well and stays out in front with his glove.  He stands up a little too tall upon his throw which in turns holds his momentum back from really finishing.  He certainly shows the actions of a sound second baseman.  He jumped 25" on his vertical leap and ran a 1.88 in the 10 yard dash. Offensively- At the plate he showed positive balance and potential as a contact, hit for average style batter.  Being smaller in stature he would definitely benefit from using his lower half a little more in his swing.  He tends to get stuck on his backside foot and not allow transfer of energy through the zone.  With those subtle mechanical tweaks Brink could definitely be a sound 2b.
