CNY ASG (September 30, 2018)
Lean, proportional build with a projectable frame. 5-foot-10, 145-pounds. Pitching – Athletic, repeatable delivery. Steady tempo throughout throwing motion. Clean, projectable actions. Balanced leg lift. Controlled forward stride with consistent direction towards target. Stays tall on backside and drives ball downhill. Quick, compact arm action with high ¾ release. Aggressive finish with exceptional rotation over front side with extension. 3 pitch mix with above average breaking ball.
May 2018

In the first game of a 3 games series to decide the section 4 Class A title, Taborne had his toughest outing of the year working into deep counts and ultimately issuing a handful of walks.  His velocity was the best it’s been all spring with his fastball running 86-87, topping out at 88 MPH with his curve at 64 and change at 72.

May 2018
In his last outing of the regular season, Taborne scatter 4 hits through 5 innings with 8s and 2 BBs. He threw 82 pitches with 51 for strikes.  He kept the ball down the entire game with his fastball being his most effective pitch on this day.
May 2018
Another good look at Taborne.  He scatter 5 hits through 4 innings with 6 Ks and 2 BBs against a good hitting Horseheads team. Taborne’s fastball showed an increase in speed from earlier in the season at 85-86 and topped out at 87 MPH.  He worked it effectively low and inside for called strikes. He complimented the FB with a change at 73 for swings and misses and a curve at 62 for called 3rd strikes.
April 2018
Vestal’s junior ace checks in at 5-foot-10 150 pounds. Taborne (R/R) was in mid-season form against Maine Endwell throwing 6 scoreless innings, scattering 3 hits with 11 Ks and 2 BBs. From start to finish his fastball was 83-84 and topped out at 86.  He complimented the FB with a change at 73 and a knee buckling curve at 62.
Preseason All-State East (Feb. 22, 2018)
Stands 5-foot-10, 150-pounds with a wiry frame that will continue to grow as he physically matures. Mechanics are clean with fluid tempo, high knee lift with a slight front shoulder tilt prior to driving towards home. Arm-action is clean with no restrictions, fastball stays on a downward plane sitting 82-84 mph with late life, curveball has advanced spin sitting in the upper 70's, 11/6 shape. Expect to see Taborne take another step forward this summer.

East-West Battle (July 2017)
Consistent in the strike zone with efficient mechanics. Fastball has good arm side run and sits 78/79 and touched 82 MPH. Good secondary pitches to keep hitters off balance. Very competitive on the mound and not afraid to go inside, or to challenge hitters in any count.
NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)
Slender 5-foot-10, 145-pound RHP who pounds the strike zone. Pitching - clean arm action, effortless and short delivery on fastball at 83-84 MPH with plenty of handspeed and ceiling, ball gets to the plate quickly, late movement with explosion, downward plane should induce weak contact, throws tight 2-to-7 curveball for strikes at 65-66 MPH. One of the top 2019 arms in NY.
Southern Tier Sluggers Workout

Taborne, a 2019 right-handed hitting outfielder/RHP looked impressive in his PBR-NY debut, standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing in at 143 pounds, ran a 7.85 60.  Offensively- Starts with an upright square and narrow base with the hands in front of the back shoulder and barrel of the bat perpendicular to the ground with some wrap towards the pitcher. Gets to the launch phase of the swing with a lift of the lead foot, slight inward rotation of the knee while it drives back, with the hands loaded straight back staying slightly inside the back shoulder and barrel of the bat creating more wrap while the hands move in a buggy whip action. Aggressively attacked the ball, during batting practice, keeping the hands short and compact to the ball with plus lower half drive and rotation. Drove the ball from line to line showing plus drive from the pull side to opposite field gap. Registered an exit velocity of 82 MPH at the event. Defensively- Moved with fluid and athletic movements to the ball. Fielded the ball, whether in the air or on the ground, off the glove side. Transferred the ball from the center of the body, chest height, creating longer arm action and keeping the lower and upper in sync. Throws showed plus velocity, at 86 MPH, as well as carry.   Pitching- Works from the center of the rubber, both hands held chest height in the center of the body. Gets to the gathered phase of the delivery with a moderate step to the first base line while the pivot foot drags to the first base side of the rubber with the hands remaining chest height and lead knee elevating to the waist and lead toe angled down. The fastball, thrown from an over the top arm slot, topped out at 84 MPH with late life and explosiveness. Displayed the ability to work the fastball to both sides of the plate as well as run into the lower third of the zone. The curveball, topping out at 66 MPH, showed quality depth and 12-to-6 shape with tight rotation. Good looking prospect on the mound.
