(Metropolitan Classic - Aug. 23 - 2015) Ranked No. 1 in the 2017 Class in NY, the RHP Storz (Poly Prep, NY) pitched one inning for Team Elite, allowing a leadoff single before striking out the side. He has a big frame at 6-foot-6, 245 pounds and pitches with regular effort. His fastball was 87-91. His curveball was backing up on him, but it flashed 11/5 shape and sat 77-78. His changeup was 82-83. All three of his strikeouts were looking and came on his curveball.

+ RHP Nicholas Storz (Poly Prep Country Day, NY) stands a massive 6-foot-6, 235-pounds with a powerful athletic frame. A pitching coaches (and recruiters) dream and a hitting coaches nightmare, Storz who is just a sophomore, is the total package on the bump. On the mound his delivery has some pace to it which helps him with momentum. He uses a high leg-lift, shows balance before driving hard towards home. Arm-action is long, (goes some towards 2B) quick hand speed, front-side is strong. He uses great shoulder/Hip separation creating maximum torque, evidenced by his 87-91 mph fastball. Curveball although early in its development has signs of power action potential, 10/4 shape. He throws from a high-3/4 slot staying behind the baseball well, body-length stride with a front-side finish. The raw potential Storz has is something you don't see everyday, high-end national prospect to keep an eye on.
