6-foot, 165-pound right-handed pitcher. Showed very well at the workout. The delivery is online, under control and repeated. The arm slot is slightly above ¾ and works quick out front. The glove side is soft and he stays with his arm. Showed the ability to be quick to the plate in the stretch and still hold his posture throughout. The fastball touched 84 mph, arm side run at times. The spin pitch is a true breaking ball, 70-71 mph with plus depth to it. The changeup is a developing pitch, sat at 72-75 mph. Quality arm with more to come, should pitch at a lower D1 level. Good student as well.

8/20/17

5-foot-11, 150-pound, average thin athletic frame, has plenty of room to fill out. A right-handed pitcher, with super loose and clean arm, can really spin the breaking ball. The delivery is simple and sound, gets to a good gather, stays over the rubber a long time, works down and builds momentum through the release. The lead leg has cross fire to it, leads to some deception, makes the breaking ball that much harder to square up. The arm path has average length on the back side, works out of a ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 78-81 mph, with sink to the arm side, held the velocity throughout his outing. The breaking ball is an above average pitch for his age, clocked in the high 60’s, has the proper shape and spin to it. The changeup is a work in progress, clocked at 68 mph, needs more feel, reps and practice will help, arm is clean enough to develop this pitch. Times to the plate were at 1.54, worked quick between pitches. Big follow, going to be a good one, legit bullpen arm at the next level.
