Nickerson stands 6-foot-0, 170 pounds and has an easy loose arm. His fastball topped 84 mph sitting 81-83 with late down action. He spins a 12/6 shape curveball at 70 mph for strikes. He rushes his delivery at times allowing the ball to stay flat, but when he takes his time the ball comes out with life down in the zone. Interesting unsigned arm to watch this spring. OF/Hitting - OF looks to be where he's most comfortable with good instincts and actions. His arm works free and easy, high-3/4 slot, quick hand speed with nice carry on the ball. At the plate he powers his hands inside the ball evidenced by his 83 mph exit velocity off a tee. Bat plane is fairly level, good extension out in front.
