A left-handed hitter at the plate that starts in an athletic setup. Uses a smooth leg lift prior to his short stride. Barrel is loose and fluid, launching from a vertical position. Swing is compact with some whip through the zone. Path is slightly downhill with above average bat speed. A contact type guy whose bat play at the top of the lineup. In the outfield he uses smooth footwork approaching the baseball. Picks out his hop and plays through it aggressively. Arm is loose and throws showed carry. Expect more arm strength with maturity. On the mound the southpaw has a slower tempo delivery that requires little effort. Uses a chest high leg kick prior to his drop and drive load. Mechanically sound in general with a loose arm. Fastball stays mostly true through the zone with slight action at times. Expect much more velocity to come as he adds strength. His primary secondary offering was his near 1/7 shaped breaking ball. Showed some feel for the pitch that showed sharpness when he stayed on top of it. Looks to be his out pitch.
