5/31/17 A lefty swinger that has a top of the lineup skill set. Swing is compact and he does a nice job creating energy through a leg kick load and well timed weight shift. Path is slightly uphill causing some inconsistencies in contact. A flatter path would let his natural tools show more often. In the infield he gets solid reactions off the bat and has a quick first step. Would be aided by creating angles in his pre fielding footwork to play through the baseball more efficiently. Arm action is loose and he threw with accuracy across the diamond.

7/26/16 5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect. At the plate he uses a leg kick to load his lower half. Load is efficient but could use more weight transfer into contact. Hands are loose before getting that bat through the zone on a level plane. Batspeed is above average and he consistently produced line drives in batting practice. Has power potential in there as he matures and has a more efficient lower half. Top exit velocity was impressive as he reached 90 mph. Behind the plate his pop times ranged from 2.1-2.24, and he threw with 65 mph arm strength. Transfer skills and footwork are there so expect times to get better as arm strength increases.
5/31/16 Starts in a balanced setup at the plate before using very little load and a leg kick to initiate his lower half. Has above average batspeed with a short level swing. Good fluidity to his swing. Line drive type. Would benefit from added energy into contact. Registered an exit velocity of 82 mph and ran a 4.53 down the line. Showed some quickness to his feet in the infield with confidence in his glove. Tends to play from heels at times. Behind the plate pop times ranged from 2.13-2.21, and he threw with 63 mph arm strength.
1/31/16 5-foot-9, 160-pound athletic build. Behind the plate he starts in a low, athletic crouch. mechanics look good and should expect to see them speed up with maturity. Feet get in line, transfer will need to quicken up, throws with good, short arm action to second base. Pop times ranged between 2.25-2.34 and he threw with 67 mph arm strength to second base. From the left side he uses a leg kick load with his lower half and minimal to no load with his upper half. Leg kick helps him generate momentum but he is able to stay balanced. Swing is short and compact with a level path to the ball. Exit velocity was 85 mph and he ran a 4.29 from home to first.
1/18/16 5-foot-9, 160-pound athletic build. At the plate the lefty starts with a wide, athletic stance with a majority of his weight on his back foot. Uses a leg kick for timing and keeps his hands simple to maintain a flat, compact bat path. Would like to see him transfer more weight into contact. Exit velocity was 77 mph. Behind the plate he starts in an athletic position and does a good job gaining ground towards second base on his transfer. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with quick, clean arm action at 68 mph. Pop times ranges from 2.18-2.25. In the infield he showed soft hands but tends to field the ball too far into his body. Used the same quick, clean arm action from a high 3/4 slot to register an infield velocity of 68 mph. Ran a 7.81 60 yard dash.
7/28/15
5-foot-8, 150-pound athletic build. Left-handed hitter that is spread out and balanced. Little toe tap to load with a short, compact, swing that stays flat thru the zone. Registered top exit velocity of 75 mph off a tee and was 4.44 home to first. Behind the plate he starts with a wide base with good footwork for his age. Transfer is a little long and throws from a high-3/4 slot. Pop times range from 2.29-2.41 with 62 mph arm strength to second base. In the infield he shows good range for his age with a clean transfer. From a short, high-3/4 slot he shows 66 mph across the diamond.
