At the plate he starts with his weight on his back leg and it tends to stay on back leg at contact. Hands stay loose as they move to launch. Path is uphill and the ball comes off his bat well when he finds the barrel. More effective to his pull side at this stage. Would like to see more weight transfer into contact to let his above average strength show in swing. A first baseman that showed feel for the position. Would like to see him play lower. Glove skills are developing. Made a very nice play to his backhand side. On the mound, the southpaw throws through a ¾ arm slot with short arm action. Fastball looks like he tends to get on side of the ball as it shows significant cutting action while sitting between 65-70 mph. Breaking ball ranges between 59-62 mph and offers slurvy like movement towards the plate. Also mixes in a 63-64 mph changeup thrown with near fastball arm speed.
