5/31/16
6-foot-1, 270-pound big body build. On the mound he shows an easy effort delivery with good direction to the plate. Throws from a high ¾ slot with the fastball sitting 62-66 mph. Curveball sat 52-57 mph with gradual break. Changeup sat 59-60 mph. At the plate the lefty starts in a tall, athletic setup with his bat vertical. Uses minimal hand load during his short stride forward before taking an uphill path to the ball. Has strength through the zone and registered an exit velocity of 85 mph. Ran a 5.46 from home to first. Moves well for his size around the bag at first base and showed quickness to his transfer on his double play balls.

2/13/16
6-foot-1, 285-pound thick, strong build. At the plate he starts slightly open from the right side. Using a leg kick combined with a short stride he does a good job of getting his lower half involved. Bat starts vertical before taking an uphill path to the ball. Keeping his hands loaded longer would help improve batspeed and help him take advantage of his strength. Exit velocity  was 81 mph. At first base he showed confidence in his glove with the ability to get off the bag. Would like to see him play lower. Using clean arm action he threw across the diamond with 62 mph arm strength. Ran an 8.53 60-yard dash. On the mound the southpaw has loose arm action with a low effort delivery. Should see increase in velocity once he learns to use his lower half more efficiently. Fastball sat 65-69 with much more in there. Curveball had a 1/7 shape to it with gradual break and he had good feel for his 59-62 mph changeup.
