A right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic stance. Uses a slight back load with hands during leg kick timing trigger. Nice, compact stroke with easy lift. Stays inside the baseball with, generating natural ball flight to opposite field gap. Middle of the lineup type guy with a balanced offering of strength and speed through the zone. Minor path issue that limit backspin to pull side but should be easy fix. Natural tools are obvious through the zone. In the infield he plays with fluid actions. Feet work well and glove is reliable. Second baseman type.

6/06/18

Very physical bat from the right side. Showed off an intent driven swing with obvious natural tools through the zone. Ball jumps off his bat, working through a middle-away approach. Generates easy gap pop with untapped power in there. Middle of the lineup type skill set. At third base he showed quick feet and soft hands. Actions are fluid and he maintains them on the move. Bat is top tool but also projects to be a more than adequate defender at third base.

60-yard dash: 6.99
Infield Velocity: 75
Exit Velocity: 85

2/04/18

6-foot, 180 pound infield prospect had a good glove at shortstop fielding each attempt well. Greiner can improve his fielding by working through the ball more with his glove rather than letting it come to him. His throwing velocity was 74 mph showing good arm strength and accurate throws to first base. Greiner’s footwork can improve to become more fluid which will allow him to get to balls more quickly. Offensively he showed a good bat with a balanced stance and smooth swing aided by quick hands. He does a good job producing positive momentum in the swing. That showed as he recorded an 88 mph exit velocity. Greiner has good overall strength and plenty of upside. On the mound, the right handed pitcher displays a strong delivery while throwing through a high 3/4 slot. Displays quickness in arm speed while throwing his 80-82 mph fastball. Fastball offers good heavy arm-side run late in the zone. Still developing but his breaking ball displays some sharp bite with 12/6 type movement; sits 66-67 mph. Also mixes in a 72-73 mph changeup that he displays good deceptive arm speed with.

6/21/17

A right-handed hitter that starts in an open setup. Gets back to even through a double tap load and controlled stride. Path is level and he swings with intent. Drove the ball with authority when he found the barrel. Worked predominantly to his pull side. Middle of the lineup type guy. In the infield he does a nice job creating angles with his pre fielding footwork. Actions are confident and flashy. Glove skills are well above average for his age. On the mound he is mechanically efficient and brings athleticism to the bump. Arm is clean and loose. Works through a high-¾ slot with above average arm speed. Fastball comes out of his hand well sitting 77-80 mph. Breaking ball was very impressive. Puts good spin on the pitch that showed sharpness and depth on an 11/5 plane. Looked confident with the offering that came in the zone at 67-70 mph.

Home to First: 4.76
Infield Velocity: 76
Exit Velocity: 87

6/28/16

A projectable frame at 6-foot, 160-pounds. At the plate he uses a simple hands back load during his short stride forward. A very strong kid with a fast bat through the zone. Worked well to his pull side with gap to gap pop at this stage. Reached a top exit velocity of 79 mph and ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. In the infield he has fluid footwork and above average glove skills. Needs to create angles with his pre fielding footwork to play through the baseball more efficiently. Showed 70 mph arm strength across the infield. On the mound he creates good momentum to home plate with his lower half. Arm has definite quickness to it. A strike thrower that sat 74-76 mph with his fastball. Also flashed a sharp breaking ball that had an 11/5 shape at 66-67 mph.

6/13/16

6-foot, 155-pound athletic prospect. Uses a simple approach at the plate by taking his hands back during his short stride forward. Above average strength and batspeed for his age. Ball comes off the bat well in batting practice. Reached a top exit velocity of 78 mph and ran a 4.62 from home to first. Smooth actions in the infield with above average glove skills. Would be aided by creating angles to play through the ball more efficiently.

3/19/16

6-foot, 155-pound prospect. Uses long arm action through ¾ slot. Accuracy to his throws with top velocity of 62 mph across the infield. Feet start flat with tendency to field from his heels. Will be aided by playing from a more athletic stance. Wide stance with bent knees, using a small leg lift. Ball jumped off the bat. Exit velocity was an impressive 82 mph and ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. Projectable frame while throwing from a high ¾ arm angle. Heavy fastball sat 72-76 mph, 11/5 late breaking 60-61 mph curve was erratic at times, 67 mph fading change up.
