6/21/17

A right-handed hitter that starts in an open setup. Uses a leg kick for timing. Hands move slightly back prior to swing decision. Path is level with obvious quickness to his bat. Swing is compact and he finds the barrel often. A line drive guy that has the ability to finds the gap. Laced a double to the left-field wall in game. Behind the plate he starts in a higher crouch. An athletic kid who gets out of the crouch well. Looked comfortable with his transfer. Threw with accuracy.

5-foot-8, 150-pound frame. Ran a 5.03 from home to first. Behind the plate he has above average tools for his age. Feet and transfer both showed quickness. Area of improvement would be arm strength as he matures. Pop times ranged from 2.02-2.08. At the plate he is a contact type hitter with a short, compact swing. Gets efficient use out of his lower half. Consistently squared balls up in batting practice and reached a top exit velocity of 76 mph.
