Starts in a tall, narrow setup at the plate. Takes hands back to launch during his long stride forward. Gets stride foot down very early. A strong kid with a fast bat. Lower half keeps loading even when foot is down. Has the look of a middle of the lineup guy. Would like to see him flow into contact more consistently. Showed impressive pop to his pull side and the ability to go the other way. Behind the dish, he starts in balanced stance. Shows some quickness in his feet. Transfer has some length due to glove to hand exchange at the beginning, but gets rid of it quickly. Uses short arm action through over the top slot. Pop times ranged between 2.08 to 2.13.
