12/2/18 Berner had a very balanced setup at the plate with a very minimal load that was initiated by a small leg kick. Could benefit more of a weight shift in his load to unlock more power potential. Had a downhill bat path that would seem to lead to predominantly low line drives and hard ground balls. A first baseman with the frame for the position. Plays the spot with feel and adequate ball skills. Capable defender over there. 60-yard Dash: 7.52 Infield Velocity: 75 Exit Velocity: 85
1/18/16 6-foot-1, 185-pound athletic, projectable frame. Ran a 7.81 60-yard dash. At the plate the right-handed swinger starts slightly open and gets back to even with a toe turn load. Rocks his weight back for rhythm then transfers his weight forward into contact. Hands stay relatively still taking a direct path to the ball. Exit velocity was 79 mph. At third base he showed some softness to his hands with the ability to get rid of the ball quickly. Throwing from a 3/4 slot he showed 66 mph arm strength across the diamond.
